WORK STAGES
How We Fell for a House
The moment we stepped into the Jor Bagh home, we knew this would be special. Sunlight filtered through intricate jaali windows, casting dancing shadows on weathered floors that seemed to hold decades of family stories. Our clients, a warm family of four, had one simple yet profound request: "Make it feel like coming home to a hug."
What followed were weeks of deep conversations over chai, understanding their rhythms and dreams. The teenage daughter wanted her space to feel "vintage but not like grandma's attic." The parents craved a blend of their childhood memories with modern functionality. We found ourselves creating 15 mood boards, having late-night design sessions, and yes questioning whether "warm minimalism" was even possible. (Spoiler: we made it work beautifully.)

Where Dreams Meet Details
Every corner was measured with the precision of archaeologists documenting a precious find. The grandfather clock in the foyer wasn't just furniture—it was the family's timekeeper for three generations. We had to honor that.
Our planning phase became a delicate dance between preserving the home’s soul and breathing new life into its spaces. We spent hours sketching how morning light would hit the breakfast table, how conversations would flow from the living room to the kitchen, how each family member could find their perfect corner for solitude or togetherness. The breakthrough moment came when we realized we weren't just designing rooms we were choreographing daily life.

Bringing Vision to Life
This is where magic happens, and where patience gets tested. Our craftsmen treated each piece of reclaimed teak like a canvas, carving details that would make generations proud. The electricians debated outlet placements with the passion of artists (because honestly, nothing ruins a beautiful wall like poorly placed switches).
We hit our share of curveballs like when the custom indigo wallpaper arrived looking more navy than midnight blue. Instead of panic, we saw opportunity. Our team hand-painted subtle variations that ended up looking more authentic than any factory print ever could. The day our handwoven chandelier was installed, even our usually stoic contractor stopped to admire it. Those are the moments that remind us why we do this work.

The Moment Everything Clicks
Reveal day arrived with nervous excitement on all sides. We'd lived with this vision for months would the family feel what we felt? The mother walked into the breakfast nook we'd designed to echo her childhood home in Lucknow, and her eyes immediately welled up. "It's exactly like I remembered," she whispered. The father, trying to maintain his composure, muttered something about "dust in the air" while clearly moved by the transformation.
Even their cat seemed to approve, immediately claiming the velvet ottoman in the living room as its new throne. But the real victory? Two weeks later, the teenage daughter texted us: "My friends think my room is cooler than any hotel." Mission accomplished.
