Designing a Workspace
When Mr. Mirani approached us, his vision was clear yet complex: “An office that reflects professionalism, but never loses the warmth of home.” The residence offered abundant natural light, high ceilings, and timeless details. It was a canvas ready to be transformed into a hybrid space of elegance and functionality.
Unlike conventional corporate offices, It needed to serve as both a professional environment and a personal retreat. The inspiration lay in creating balance: sophistication for client meetings, comfort for long working hours, and harmony with the larger residence.
Where Functionality Meets Elegance
The planning process went beyond standard office layouts. Every decision was anchored in lifestyle. We studied how daylight filtered into the study, how seating arrangements could encourage conversation, and how work could transition naturally into moments of relaxation.
Heritage pieces such as a carved bookshelf and a family heirloom rug were preserved and reinterpreted within the design. This integration of memory with modernity gave the space its unique character. It ensured the office never felt detached from the home.
Craftsmanship at Its Finest
Execution brought vision to life with uncompromising attention to detail. Bespoke teakwood desks were crafted to anchor the room with authority. Acoustic wall panels upholstered in textured fabric created a refined quietude, functional for focus yet aesthetically striking. Layered lighting combined task precision with ambient softness, allowing the office to adapt from day to evening with ease.
Unexpected challenges demanded innovation. A batch of imported office chairs arrived in the wrong finish. Instead of compromise, we entrusted them to local artisans whose craftsmanship elevated the pieces to a standard beyond the original. A Space of Authority and Comfort
On reveal day, Mr. Mirani entered his new office and paused in quiet reflection. The space exuded authority yet remained deeply personal. The executive desk commanded presence, while the library wall added gravitas. The atmosphere was unmistakably professional, yet it belonged naturally within the residence.
